2005 Corum Melges 24 World Championships

In 2005 Team BRace negotiated and managed the Corum title sponsorship of the International Melges 24 Class World Championship regatta at the exclusive Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo, Florida. The hands-on BRace role included the following

• Identification of sponsorship
• Development of an overall strategy
• Identification of specific sponsorship opportunities
• Negotiation of sponsor agreements
• Leverage opportunities
• Public relations and promotion
• Planning and execution of events

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Montres Corum Sàrl., the event was the first world championship regatta ever sailed at The Ocean Reef Club. One hundred teams from nine countries raced in the December 2005 event. Corum, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, is an independent, family-owned company producing high-quality hand-finished Swiss timepieces since 1955. For more than two decades Corum has supported sailing events around the world, including the Admiral’s Cup in Britain as an event sponsor and as a team sponsor.
